ParAllele BioScience Inc. will partner with Chaim Oscar Jacob, MD, associate professor at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, to discover genes associated with childhood-onset lupus. The collaboration combines ParAllele's Immune-Inflammation Panel, which comprises approximately 8,000 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) from over 1,000 candidate genes related to the genetics of immunity and inflammation, with a large cohort of annotated specimens collected by Dr. Jacob from patients affected by lupus and their family members.
