OsteoBiologics, Inc, a San Antonio, Texas-based developer and manufacturer of bioabsorbable, tissue-engineered scaffolds for the repair and replacement of musculoskeletal tissues, announced that it has received a Medical Device License authorizing the marketing in Canada of its PolyGraftR products for bone void repair. The porous PolyGraft material is composed of a blend of polylactide-co-glycolide, calcium sulfate, and polyglycolide fibers, which can be fabricated into preformed shapes.

OsteoBiologics also was recently granted CE Mark Approval to market and distribute its PolyGraft products throughout Europe for bone and cartilage repair caused by trauma or surgery. Last year OsteoBiologics received 510(k) clearance from the Food and Drug Administration to market and distribute its PolyGraft in the US.
