Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc, of Hercules, California, a manufacturer and distributor of life science research products and clinical diagnostics, announced that it has received marketing clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Medical Decision Support Software (MDSS), designed for use with the company's FDA-approved BioPlex 2200 ANA Screen and BioPlex 2200 System. 

The interpretive algorithm-based software, which correlates patient antibody results with autoimmune diseases, is expected to allow autoimmune laboratories to provide physicians with information on the association between specific diseases and patient antibody profiles.
